Updated Protocols for Mass at HNJ

Dear Holy Name of Jesus Parishioners, I hope this note finds you and yours doing well as we come to the conclusion of summer and our youth head back to school.

  1. With more and more cases of COVID-19 in our local area, and the highly contagious nature of the Delta variant, we will be cautiously incorporating these temporary protocols here at Holy Name of Jesus effective immediately:
As is stated with our signage at Mass, face-coverings/masks are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED while attending Mass at HNJ. Please continue to observe social distancing and hand hygiene for the benefit of you and your neighbor.
  2. We will be temporarily suspending reception of Holy Communion under both Species. Reception of Holy Communion will only be under the Sacred Host which contains the fullness of both the Body and Blood of Christ. For those parishioners who have a serious gluten allergy who are not able to receive even the low-gluten Hosts, please see the Sacristan so that we can offer the reception of the Precious Blood under a special chalice reserved for you.

Your cooperation and assistance with these protocols are greatly appreciated.  Thank you for your prayerful support and may God bless and protect us all!

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Fr. Scott Circe, Pastor
