Updated Pandemic Protocols

Dear Holy Name of Jesus Parishioners,

On November 11th we offered an update regarding our pandemic protocols with plans to reintroduce the reception of Holy Communion under both Species (both the Sacred Host and the Precious Blood) at Mass starting on Monday January 10th. Unfortunately with the combination of a strong flu season and the emergence of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 virus, we have decided to adjust our plans after consultation with members of our staff and our Pastoral Council Chair.

  1. We will proceed with the previous decision to conclude the livestreamed Mass. Our final livestreamed Mass be the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord on January 9th. We want to encourage everyone who is able to return to worship in person.
  2. We will continue to discern and re-evaluate as we approach Lent if the time is prudent to once again offer the reception of Holy Communion under both Species. Until then, please continue to pray that the Lord, our Divine Physician, will heal our nation, our Church and our world.

Thank you for your prayerful support and may God bless and protect us all!

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Fr. Scott Circe, Pastor
