Mar 20 Topic: Ancient Wisdom for Contemporary Christians. We will explore four ancient Christian concepts that contribute greatly to a Christian spiritual life: solitude, dispassion, prudence and self-denial. We’ll explore these concepts in Scripture and their development over the centuries by Christian writers. It’s fashionable to think of 21st century Christians as confronting unique obstacles to a healthy spiritual life, but these ancient spiritual sources speak to today’s Christians clearly and directly.
