A Warm Welcome to Seminarian Michael Batista

Please welcome Seminarian Michael Batista who has been assigned to HNJ for his Pastoral Year.  His first day with us will be Wed, Aug 18.

During this year, Michael will be learning the day-to-day life of a parish in the Diocese of Orlando.  Michael shares, "HNJ is the parish I have been praying to be placed at for the last year and a half. The Lord has heard my prayers and I am so happy that He has allowed me to be with all of you!"

Michael was born in Queens, NY and moved to Orlando in 2005. After graduating from high school in 2015, he entered St. John Vianney College Seminary in Miami where he graduated in 2019. In the Fall of 2019, he entered St. Vincent De Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, FL where he just finished his second year of Theology. He is currently three years away from ordination to the Priesthood.
Michael is huge Yankee fan and loves baseball.  In his free time, he love to read, watch movies and sports, play sports, workout (sometimes he says), and enjoys eating really good food, and spending time with friends. Michael asks that you please pray for him during his time at HNJ.  He exclaims, " I desire to give of myself completely to you and to serve all of you to the best of my ability. I also ask you to challenge me so that I can grow each day into the man and the priest the Lord is calling me to be. Know of my prayers for all of you each and every day. See you around! God bless you all!"

Please be sure to welcome Michael if you see him at Mass or on campus and wish him well on his journey towards priesthood!
