Dear Holy Name of Jesus Parishioners,
I hope this note finds you and your family healthy and well.
I wanted to take this opportunity to explain our situation in light of Governor Ron DeSantis’s press conference on Wednesday, April 29th. As your pastor, I greatly appreciate your desire to receive the glorious gift of the Eucharist and to gather for public worship once again, and I greatly desire this as well. However please understand that while Gov. DeSantis’s comments and recommendations are certainly a hopeful step in the right direction towards getting back to a sense of normalcy, his executive order was not what put the Catholic communities in their precautionary measures, it was the Bishops Conference of Florida which enacted the measures on March 18th. I assure you, the bishops continue to prayerfully consider the numerous next steps that will bring about getting back to our regular schedule in the safest way possible. We at HNJ will share this information regarding our next steps as soon as we are able. We miss you all from the depths of our hearts and we look forward to the family reunion which will brings us back together. Until then, thank you for your continued prayerful support and understanding.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Fr. Scott Circe
