Our Youth Ministry creates an environment that meets the spiritual, educational, social and emotional needs of today's teens. Teens grow as a faith community, increasing in understanding of what it means to be young and Catholic in today's world. Through the Mass and The EDGE and Life Nights, teens learn more about their Catholic faith and grow to love the Sacraments, the Word and the Mass.
As a Eucharist-centered movement within the Roman Catholic Church, Life Teen leads teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. With the Blessed Virgin Mary as our intercessor and guide, Life Teen seeks to unleash the fullness of the Sacramental power present within the young Church.

The EDGE Junior High Ministry is for all 7th & 8th grade students. The Edge is designed to meet the spiritual, social and educational needs of each young person. Our activities range from skits and games to small group work and prayer experiences. We strive to give our young people opportunities to learn about their faith, ask questions, talk about their relationship with God, and grow in community together as young Catholics.
The EDGE meets on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:30 pm in the Youth Room during the school year. Please check our calendar for the list of meeting dates each semester.
he Confirmation Preparation process consists of various elements, which provide a framework for supporting youth and the parish as they grow as a faith community. The process includes opportunities for learning, service, and worship, which require sufficient time for growth, reflection, and maturation. The preparation time is essential to the process. Confirmation invites youth to life-long faith formation and to service in ministry. It is not a graduation from church! It is a beginning, not an end. We look forward to this journey as we explore and enrich our faith together by following Christ and being open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
“A Candidate for Confirmation who has attained the age of reason must profess the faith, be in a state of grace, have the intention of receiving the Sacrament, and be prepared to assume the role of disciple and witness to Christ, both within the ecclesial community and in the temporal affairs” (CCC # 1319)
Student are invited to begin the Confirmation Process in 9th Grade. Once students have completed Year 1 of the program they continue during 10th grade with Year 2 of the program. Students may not enter Year 2 until they have completed Year 1. Confirmation is usually celebrated during the Spring of 10th Grade/Year 2.
Adult Volunteer Opportunities
Is God calling you to do more with your faith? Do you like spending time with teens? Are you creative, musical, organized, funny and/or have a passion for sharing Christ's love with others? If so, we ask you to consider sharing your talents with one of the Edge or Life Teen ministries. Without our teens there would be no hope for our future, without our adult leaders there would be no role models for our teens! Please call Margie or Katie at 321-773-2783, x106 to further explore your call to ministry.
Ministry of Hospitality: This ministry is one of the most popular with our teens! This wonderful group of people prepares & serves the meals at the beginning of our Wednesday evening Edge nights or our Sunday evening Life Nights. All families are asked to help with this at least once each semester. We are in need of a small dedicated group of parents to help organize the schedule for the hospitality ministry.
Ministry of Catechesis: There are two areas of catechesis - the Core Team & Confirmation Teachers. The Core Team members are adults who devote their time and talents by being present to the teens in a loving and giving way. They create & present Edge Meetings/Life Nights and support teen activities. This is a weekly commitment, 6:00-7:30 pm on Wednesdays for Edge and 6:15-8:30 pm on Sundays for Life Teen. Confirmation Teachers lead class sessions during the formation process of the candidates, attend retreats, major liturgies and some service projects.
