For over 50 years, Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School has been providing an excellent academic program that is in communion with our family values, faith traditions, and community goals. The faculty and staff are dedicated to developing the "whole" person, and instilling in our children a life-long quest for learning.

Principal-Mrs. Mary Ann Irwin

irwin lo-resMrs. Irwin comes to HNJ School with a wealth of experience and outstanding credentials. Her Bachelor's Degree was granted by Indiana University with a major in Elementary Education. Both her Master's and Education Specialist degrees are from Ball State University–the Master's in Administration and Supervision and the Specialist in School Superintendent.

As Mrs. Irwin is quick to point out, she has held almost every "seat" in both Catholic and public school systems from Pre-Kindergarten to grade 2, teaching 6th through 8th grade special education, junior college, teaching non-traditional students in state college, workplace and adult education. Besides teaching, Mrs. Irwin has been a Principal, Curriculum Director, District Level Administrator, Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent.  Mrs. Irwin firmly believes that God is the leader of her team guiding the decision-making process in all student/family situations.

Office Manager-Karen Laird

laird lo-resMrs. Laird received her undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University in Marketing/Psychology. She has 4 children with her husband Rich; Jack, Sally and their twins, Erin and Katie, who are graduates of HNJ school and MCC. In her spare time Karen enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.

PreK 3-Kathi Arms

arms lo-resMrs. Arms brings a Masters in Special Education with an undergrad in Psychology, Elementary Education and she is VPK Director certified. Her family includes her two sons, Trey and Aiden, both students at HNJ and 5 siblings who all live in Melbourne Beach. She is originally from New Jersey.  She enjoys yoga, swimming, beach activities, kayaking, reading, and gardening.
