Confirmation

post-confirmation"A Candidate for Confirmation who has attained the age of reason must profess the faith, be in a state of grace, have the intention of receiving the Sacrament, and be prepared to assume the role of disciple and witness to Christ, both within the ecclesial community and in the temporal affairs" (CCC #1319)

The Confirmation Preparation process consists of various elements, which provide a framework for supporting youth and the parish as they grow as a faith community.  The process includes opportunities for learning, service, and worship, which require sufficient time for growth, reflection, and maturation. The preparation time is essential to the process.  Confirmation invites youth to life-long faith formation and to service in ministry.  It is not a graduation from church!  It is a beginning, not an end. We look forward to this journey as we explore and enrich our faith together by following Christ and being open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
