Grief Support

Bereavement Ministry-Sharing Grief meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of every month from 4:00-5:30 pm in Room 143. We welcome anyone who is grieving the death of a loved one, and invite you to drop in whenever there is a need. We are here to offer hope, strength and consolation during this difficult time. The volunteers who lead these sessions are highly qualified and experienced facilitators with special grief training. See our brochure for the schedule of topics. Journey into Hope and Healing-is a one-day grief seminar that is offered on a Saturday, each spring and fall from 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Grief shows us many faces: anger, resentment, loneliness, physical symptoms and isolation. Although the void remains, healing comes in time through tears, prayer, talking with good listeners, and giving yourself permission to feel the feelings, whatever they may be. Whereas dealing with grief is one of the hardest emotions we ever experience, this program can help make the journey easier. Past participants stressed that the program lifted them emotionally and spiritually, and that by sharing with others, they came to realize that they are not alone in their grief.
