The goal of the Parish and Family Life Commission is to promote intergenerational
parish family life for both married and single persons through the increased sharing of gifts
and interests in order to minister to the needs of all.

CRAFTY LADIES

Women gather weekly to work on various projects that are later sold to raise money for the needy. Weekly meetings begin again on Thursday, from 10am-2pm in Room 3. It's time to create beautiful treasures for our Beachside Festival (March 23-26). We need knitters, crocheters, sewing and crafty ladies.  Bring your lunch - coffee provided - fellowship guaranteed. MARRIAGE PREPARATION - F.O.C.C.U.S.

Is an inventory of 150 questions in 15 different categories e.g. communication, finances, marriage as a covenant, spirituality to determine an engaged couples compatibility on these issues and to establish a good foundation for the Sacrament of Marriage.

An inventory of probing questions for an existing marriage to be used as an enrichment tool for discussion and to help objectify disagreements.

Couples who have been married at least 15 years who have successfully weathered whatever problems life has brought during their marriage; who are willing to listen non-judgmentally to the problems other couples are experiencing; and share from the heart whatever techniques or solutions did or did not work for them.

This peer to peer ministry walks with individuals experiencing the devastating effects of separation and divorce and provides healing programs e.g. Divorce Care; Rebuilding; Just Me and the Kids.

Trained couples and individuals assist in processing annulment requests in order to promote healing from the pain of divorce and restore relationship with the church community.

SENIOR ACTIVITIES/SHEPHERD CENTER

Programs for senior adults are offered on an ongoing and event basis, e.g. Senior Breakfast is the First Friday of the month from Nov. to May, there are bus trips to special programs, etc. The most comprehensive ongoing program is Shepherd’s Center which meets two days per week for 8 week sessions four times per year offering programs taught by seniors for seniors (55 and older) focusing on enrichment, health, crafts and skills and discussion topics.
