The Knights of Columbus brought a Marian Icon, Our Lady Help of Persecuted Christians, to Holy Name of Jesus on Sat, June 8, for a weeklong visit.
The visit of the Icon is intended to raise awareness of the plight of Christians persecuted for their faith and to help foster our standing in prayerful solidarity with them.
During all Masses the weekend of Jun 8/9, Fr. Scott will lead the parish in the prayer for persecuted Christians. The Knights of Columbus will be handing out these prayer cards before each Mass. Also, after each Mass, the Knights will be collecting money for the Christian Refugee Relief Program.
